Every year, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry host its flagship program, the Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (MSME) Conference and Trade Fair to provide a platform for small business owners to showcase their products and services. The conference presents an opportunity for small business owners to converge in one place and engage in exchanges aimed at developing the MSME sector in Liberia.
It is a forum for collaboration, information sharing and networking among MSME stakeholders: entrepreneurs and innovators, international and local experts, academicians, IT Learning/Training Institutions, students, business owners, investors, MSME associations, trade associations, lending institutions, policy makers and multinational companies.
This year’s conference will be held under the theme: “From Vision to Implementation-Buying Liberian, Building Liberia,” with focus on “Promoting Information and Communication Technology Innovation and its impact on the Business Climate of Liberia.” The conference focus is on encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation among Liberian-owned businesses and innovators in the ICT sector, for economic growth and transformation. This year’s conference is expected to bring together about 50 Liberian entrepreneurs and innovators to showcase their innovations (apps, solutions etc.) and build new partnership that can transform their businesses. It will be held at the Liberian Market Place, at the Nancy B. Doe Jorkpen Town Market, located on 8 th Street, Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia.
